Angola Silver Coinage

Portugal introduced it's currency, the escudo, to it's colonies in 1914. The escudo was the currency of Angola between 1914 and 1928 when it was replaced by the angolar.

The currency was switched back to the escudo from 1958 and 1977. Each escudo is subdivided into 100 centavos.

Silver escudo coins were minted in 10 escudos and 20 escudos denominations.
